Easy w/Cian

April 1, 2014 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Pretty good day: had some luxurious gaps which helped me catch up on paperwork. Felt pretty worked over from the track, though.

It was an easy day + yoga for track. I got there late but wound up running with Cian, one of my patients. Good kid. Senior in HS, in his first season of track because I'm pretty much making him do it. He's been a soccer player (super-good) but constantly hurt, and he needs to work on his run mechanics.

He and I ran from the HS, south past Thornley's old place, and back. Felt SLUGGISH at first, but then came around to low-7s, which was nice! Gluts were ROCKED, hamstrings not bad at all -- which goes to show that yes, indeed, I've been flat-backing way too much. I was "well arched" yesterday and it helped a ton.

Lewis had a long/steep, travel hunt planned for tonight and I just wasn't into it. I NEED to rest, especially with this weekend upcoming, so I just went home after practice. Finished my Trail Runner article (they're going to pay $0.25/word! = at least $300!!!), ate, and then read before hitting the sack.

Excited for this weekend: it will be a great course, and I'm maybe going to see a bunch of different friends in PDX -- including Emelia, I think! :-) A part of me wants to reach out to Chelsea #2 and talk with her. Fuck, man, she's the only one left that could tell Chelsea #1 what she NEEDS to hear...
