Lorane + Bailey Hill Bike

July 11, 2009 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Bike

Weather: 60F, overcast, breezy, cool

Comments:
Woke up at 0600, dicked around for a long time before getting out the door. Part of the dicking around was mapping out my PDX marathon build-up. Trying to squeeze 100mpw in six days, while working a RIGID 40hr/week (unlike P3, where I could come and go, whenever)...it's looking TOUGH. But I'm just gonna have to grow a pair...

Speaking of, I finally got out the door at around 1015. Zero motivation, VERY TIRED and feeling over-trained. I was relieved to actually feel really good immediately on the bike.

This was the first time I've done this route since February and -- after being demoralized looking at my '03-'05 training logs -- I felt a lot better about my fitness, knowing how far I've come since then. The HUGE HILL going up Chambers to Lorane was tough but went quicker and easier than Feb, that's for damn sure.

Nice little out of town and back loop, with another climb on Bailey back to W. 11th. Then the usual to Anytime. By the time I got there, though, I was TIRED again. Did just a 1-setter lift and biked home.

I have ZERO groceries so I scraped together a pseudo-lunch and then took a nap. Cleaning up and shit this PM...
