Boston Marathon
10:00 AM. Sleep: 7 hr. A little trouble falling asleep last night, woke up and found some cash in my throwaway jacket, blanket was clutch in the Athlete's Village, tried to keep my pace under control for the first half, bathroom break in the 4th mile, high-fived pretty much every Wessley college slut, but would have stopped for a kiss if I saw a Texas sign, hills slowed me as usual, but cramps and a bathroom stop hit me after I passed Petro around mile 22, not the race that I had hoped for, but I can't be disappointed considering those who gave so much more last year, after the race I talked with Pat, a guy who ran the race in a kilt for Stone Brewing Co. on Boston Common, 2:48:02 (chip), 2:48:15 (gun), 1:19:54 (half), 793th overall, 750th male, 612th male under 40, mile spilts: 6:06, 5:52, 6:03, 5:56, 6:05, 6:36, 11:59 (7 & 8), 6:08, 6:13, 6:07, 6:03, 12:07 (13 & 14), 6:10, 6:01, 6:14, 6:18, 6:14, 6:28, 6:39, 6:22, 10:07 (includes 3:32 bathroom stop), 6:32, 6:47, 8:58; 5k spilts: 18:38, 19:16, 18:50, 19:04, 18:52, 19:19, 19:59, 24:05.
