Had our first softball practice this afternoon. It was kinda chilly and I bet people had stuff going on, so the whole team wasnt there. Did some warm up laps then just threw the ball around. We ran the bases once. A lot of our team has never played baseball or softball before, so we are moving really slow into the fundamentals. Gotta just go along with it. Using my trusty 12in baseball glove is tough with a larger softball, but its a fun challenge. Felt good throwing around this season should be lots of fun.
Did abs when I got home and did some hips. Got to get on the strengthening Essentials now after runs because running in softball uses different muscle patterns, and I am going to be feeling sore probably. I also want to be fit, healthy, and not pull a muscle. After today, looking forward to getting in a run now, especially if the sun starts to come out.
