Comments:
I ran with Stats, DZ, Sahil, Kravitz and Slater in the neighborhoods off Mass Ave then we found our way to the four mile loop, clockwise. I didn't notice the shin at all, but will ice since it has hurt at some point each day since Tuesday. As Zeke has already written, we had a memorable discussion of what I first dubbed the "Pace Revolution" then renamed it the "Pace Renaissance" in which we concluded that it was a period in early and middle winter track in which sub-7 and even sub-6:30 runs were no longer difficult. One can trace its origins as far back as freshman year, when Zeke tried to lead runs so as to make himself a better leader in general and I followed suit. But upperclassman authority suppressed that zeal for a while until a jump in fitness for both of us, and a drop in mileage coming off cross country season caused the daily pace to become faster. Stretch, brief strength work with Sahil.
