Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Studying in Conte all day. Got a lot done, but I was burning out in the afternoon. Good thing I had a run planned. Went to the gym first to change, then looped around campus and town. UMass is hosting the A10 Conference Championships this weekend, and I just couldnt miss out on the action. Timed my run so that when I finished down at the track, the steeplechase was getting ready. Got a good spot on the fence near the water pit, so I could see the pit and the straight away. The race was pretty cool there were a ton of guys in it. A UMass kid was hanging in scoring position, and with 2 to go he burst out in front and stomped the field with a 9:05 win. Like I always say, 800 to go is when you leave it all out there. Cool to see him get the home conference win. Didnt look like they were going that fast but they all had really nice times. Stayed for the womens race as well. Their water pits were terrible, but there were a few girls who ran pretty quick. After the races, jogged easy back to the gym.
Essentials: Stretch
Did a very brief stretch at the track while watching, but jumped right into the showers when I got back, so might be a little tight. Legs felt good today I felt pretty smooth. Nice to watch some racing as well
