Another tired day: I think I had one break, but I was super-tired all day.
After work, I hustled home to get ready for a home meet we had. But instead of drive there, I ran, then ran around a bit, before the meet started.
It was DAMN HOT: like 85F! Shit blew up today - first legit hot day of the year, though yesterday was pretty nice.
...and I felt like SHIT today, ALL day: the HR spiked in the heat, and my legs felt just awful. It was a struggle just to keep going. Ran about 5 miles, then got to the track. Watched a couple races, talked to a few kids, and then there was a big break between the 15s and 8s, so I went and ran again.
More of the same: slow running, felt like CRAP! Damn! The HR was spiking into the 150s, running like barely sub 8!
Got back to the track and stretched a bit. Then it occurred to me that I'm probably QUITE hypoglycemic: just haven't had enough carbZ for all the hard running I'd been doing. So I went by the trainers and started hammering the Powerade they had out for the kids. I didn't notice much, but on my run home from the meet, I felt a lot better! Had a bunch of carbs (banana, some other stuff) that night, hoping to "recover".
Interesting stuff. Really learning a lot about what my body needs, but doing so the hard way!
Ran in my 890s...that are coming apart! The sole is peeling off the L shoe! F!
L ankle was pretty good: taped it today, and wasn't too sore.
