Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 50, nice

Ran at 0520 for the first time in a long time. The idea is that I'm going to transition my running to the AM/lunch - the "old school" thing to do: to prioritize it, and to get in easy base mileage. But most of all: CONSISTENCY.
Felt OK on this run, kept 'er easy...but had a fair amount of back pain. Ugh. Turns out I'm STILL doing a lot of upright/lumbar extension in my stride...and I think I've been doing it for at least a couple months, or at least since around Sonoma.
As such, I noticed a couple things: 1. my back was intermittently painful, and 2. I ran slow.
Back in early May, I'd found out at my PT that if my back was "off" - stiff, extended or otherwise not stable - my hip strength would drop from "normal" to a 3+/5 (barely any resistance)! This...really sucks. This could totally explain my chronic hamstring tightness, as the hammies would be working overtime trying to extend my hips!
Ran about 8:00 pace for this 8.3ish miler, with a nice, low HR. Tired the rest of the day, though...
Even though I said I'd stop, I still flirted with Tanya today ... a little. Again, the void is there, and man, when it's a vacuum like it is right now, it's like walking around with a shop vac hose...anything in its sight is going to be "sucked up"!
