Dan-O hunt

May 27, 2014 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: HARD rain, then OK

Comments:
No AM run: rested up again. Ankles/feet pretty rocked.

Weather was OK until after work, then the skies f-ing opening up like crazy just as we left! I felt cold in my single jacket, but Lewis didn't: he wore about ten layers to "heat train" for SD100!

A nice group of us: me, Lewis, Dan-O, Tommy (the OGs), with The Hammer, Matt (first Hunt in nearly two months), Mr Endicott, and Cliff.

Ran from Lewis' down 30th, by the cemetary south of campus, then along Fairmount and up into Hendricks, then down to Ribbon. Thought it might've been a short one, but then Dan-O took us onto these sketch double track road/trails along 30th/by LCC, then on the super-sketchy road that climbs through the woods, past some "NO TRESPASSING" turf, that pops us out on the the super-rich Spring Blvd area.

Pretty decent run. Feet pretty sore...

...then I realize what I'm doing. AGAIN: keeping my feet/ankle super-stiff! I do this when I do a lot of uphill running. I don't relax my foot and ankle (which is what I do on a long, Hardesty up). So my calf/foot muscles never get a chance to relax! Gotta work on this...

Mr Roberts, Emily and Dr Paul were social members. Told the "MLD" story over beers.

Wore some NEW "M2s" with orthotics. Ankles felt OK.
