July 5, 2014 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Slept in and then ran right at noon. It wasnt all that hot out, but it was just gorgeous outside. Cool breeze, 70s, temp that you just wanted to be outside in. Big contrast from the crap we had the past few days, with the storm and the hurricane. Anyways felt good today, better than yesterday, so I just kept running. Made my way onto the trail and just kept going and going. Made it up to the powerlines. It was so quiet out there, I was all alone. The shade and the breeze was really really nice. The hills felt easy today I was just flying up them. I am glad that we have places like that, which truly feel free. Took it easy on the way back down since there are all the crazy rocks and puddles. Finished up strong back on the roads. Legs felt good today especially on the trails.
Essentials: Stretch
Good stretch out on the grass. There are still downed tree limbs all over the place. I actually had to jump over a few on the run. One fell on my usual stretching spot... Glad I got in a good run at this time. I remember July 4th last time in Amherst, I tried to run at noon and almost passed out it was so hot. I find it so cool too that I can just walk out the door and run almost an hour and feel great, even though my mileage has been so low lately. I guess thats what it means to really be a runner.
