Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 80, enjoyable
Comments:
Like my running-log double I have returned to sea level. The run itself was nothing to exult in. I went to Potomac Heritage Trail via Randolph street and turned around at Kirby at 24:56. I spent a notable amount of time hopping over logs (steeplechase practice of course), which I had to step over on the return trip. Though I stopped my watch, I came back in a far off 25:59, despite almost running at a tempo from the top of Roberts to Monroe. I will do more hills this week and also finally integrate the bihebdomadal hill sprint Mark recommended in May. I am excited to run with some company, but will have to leave for Rehoboth again on Friday. I will also do more striders, eight of which I did today, longer than usual. I did 19 minutes and 50 seconds worth of strength work: 50 lunges, Boardman core with 10 pushups, but the one-minute down pushup hold instead of a fifth set, 30 squats mountain climbers for one minute 20 Apolo Ohnos per leg. I have no shin pain to report during the past two runs, other than this very moment and it feels muscular. I am toying with the idea of going to the doctor this week just to be 100% sure.
