South EUG + 4x200

Comments:
More strength in the AM, but nothing over lunch since I had paperwork to do, and my patient went long.

Ran from work. Pretty hot again, but not humid. Can't find the HRM right now, so I just kept it easy. Ran south to Tugman, then a bit onto Rexius, then back. Felt pretty good, and was moving pretty good, but was overall WORN.

Got to the track and chatted with Tommy for a bit: he informed me that Mr Roberts is MOVING BACK to Eugene, only two months+ after moving back to North Carolina! It's good news, but not for his marriage...as Blaine isn't coming (...yet?).

Today I decided I wasn't going to over-extend on the 200s, and instead ease my way into them. I *think* I was mindful about opening up my low back. Also thought a TON about pulling with the gluts and "keeping the foot on the ground" to maximize that effect.

Splits were...OK:

34.4, 33.1, 32.7, 32.3

The first few felt great. The last two I definitely pushed HARD, so I was disappointed I didn't at least break 32. I think I need to do some longer speed work (400s, 800s) to get this to come around... I did wear heavier shoes today, but still...

Easy jog back to work.
