I had a fantastic out and back tempo run today with Aidan! Anthony, Matt, Ethan, Clayton and I took the back out easily then turned on the Deal side of Fort Reno. As usual I'd been dreading it since last night but when we started to move, plenty loose from the first twenty minutes (starting from Pilgrim road) I knew it would be fun. Aidan and I broke off from the group after about three minutes and accelerated at every turn, making short work of the hills and kicking it in around the cathedral grounds. We there encountered David Bergreen who immediately started to run at our pace when we passed him, though we had only a few meters left. I felt strong and had more left in the tank--but I'll follow coach's advice and not think too much of it; he even told us not to map it. Numbers are from Ishimaru who saw and Aidan and me finish. 40 second planks GDS style, ten leg lifts 2x40 supermen, seated leg strengthening, 40 hip raises.
