Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 80
Comments:
After a rude awakening by my little sister who insisted that I run before leaving for Rehoboth, I resolved to go with my dad later in the day and like the dedicated athlete I am, went back to sleep. Upon reawakening, however, I suited up and began the run. It was immediately slow and felt awful. Perhaps the tempo run yesterday affected me more than I realized. I took 26th to Glebe by which I ran all the way back to Military. Going directly into the neighborhood would not give me the 45 minute target so I ventured further down and turned left onto 30th and went up Pollard and back home the usual way. It was a defeated slog from beginning to end and didn't even have that many hills. I stopped for water once at 13 minutes and again at 38. Gmap provides some comfort, suggesting the run was 6.6 miles; though I don't believe that, I'll take it into consideration. I did eight, okay striders then the Boardman core routine with 15 pushups and 40 squats, subsequently rushing out of the house to reach that fabled seaside hamlet that is Rehoboth.
