Playoff Game vs. Old Town Tavern

We had our playoff game today. We got the last seed (obviously) so we had to play the 3rd seed Old Town Tavern, who we actually played last week. The are a decent team and went easy on us last week, but they played hard today. It was the night game and it started a little late. Right in the first inning we got a run! I got an RBI double, nice hit. Pumped us up. We had a tough second inning, one of their guys actually hit a HR over the fence, it was impressive. I knew as soon as I pitched it it was gone. The bench was giving me some shit for pitching infront of the mound. I am less accurate at the mound so I stand infront of it a little, but then I have less reaction time when they hit it right at me. I understand the concern, but thats how I pitch. I proved them wrong when a liner came straight at me and I knocked it down and got the runner at first. In all I got 3 RBIs and had some great hits, but those long innings hurt us. We got mercy ruled. I actually got the last out of the season, as well as the first run way back in the beginning. Bookends. Overall fun season even though we werent that good and had a bunch of errors. I still had fun, there is so much room for improvement. It was also a lot of fun under the lights, I feel like I got pumped up for it. I used the "Hammer" bat with the new grip tape and it felt awesome. Lived up to my nickname.
