Comments:
I was out the door at 8:10, pleased with the auspicious, cloudy weather and planning to run out of Bellagio. On the way in, the roads seemed narrow and hazardous, but based on the last three days, the drivers are conscientious and slow down or move around me as long as I am visible. So I went on the Via Paulo Carano, a road right in the side of the mountains and took it almost all the way to the next town of Levezzano (30:10). I turned and came back in 27:03 (because I got any climbs out of the way early), using the downhills well. I took a slow lap around the hotel and proceeded to the weight room where I did the following:15 squats with 44 pounds, 35 bench presses with 22 pounds (20, later 15), 50 pushups (30, 20), 20 lunges with 10kg in each hand and 70 crunches; full static stretch in the room. I felt that same twinge in my lower back again while switching from one stretch to another. For what it's worth, I consulted a diagram and it seems like it's the right "internal oblique muscle." No shin pain though!
