August 17, 2014 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Ran in the late afternoon out on the Rail Trail. Pretty day out today, but it was cooling down in the afternoon. Still chose to go shirtless. Ran down to Groff Park and Mill St, then hit up the Rail Trail. Plan was to go out 20 minutes and turn around. Felt pretty good after getting on the trail, took a while to shake my legs out at first. There were some walkers and bikers, but it was pretty clear. I ran without my glasses so I couldnt really see anyone. I was kinda zoned into my own little world. Made it to 20, but I was right at the parking lot on Station Rd, so I went to there and then turned around. On the way back, I could see huge clouds rolling in. Didnt think it was supposed to rain, but they looked scary. Kept a nice pace back and really pushed it up the final hill. Felt good at the end glad I got in the extra distance. I guess this counts as my "long run" this week.
Essentials: Stretch
Stretched outside after chugging a Vitamin Water. Kinda dehydrated from yesterday. Feeling a little better since I got 12 hrs of sleep last night. I needed to catch up felt like I got back then just hit the ground running and never caught up on the sleep. Still I would rather not wake up so early during the week, but there is science to be done and things to be discovered!
I dedicate this run to my boy Aaron Lin, who last went for a run exactly one year ago. I run for you homie. Keep updating your running log though!
