Sudeck Meet. Felt pretty good waking up and warming up, so I was anticipating a solid race today. I guess I /kind/ of did, but it's weird. Tried out the new spikes Coach gave us, I've never run in Victories before, so this was a new experience. Got out at like 5:50 or so, which felt a little quick, but I hung onto Nate through the 2 mile, where we slowed down a bunch, I think 12:15. Once we hit the shade of the trees, I cooled down a bunch, and started turning it on again. Kept telling myself to keep a high turnover and I started catching up to people. 3 mile around 19:20, but I think it may have been marked in the wrong spot. Had a really nice finish, started speeding up on the turn of the straightaway. Kicked it in hard, but Nate was just out of reach. 15 seconds faster than last year, but I'm not thrilled with today's race timewise. Let's see how the rest of the season goes.
