easy South EUG + 4x100m strides

September 5, 2014 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 80s, nice

Comments:
Easy morning of work. Then I set up my computer to get some writing done, foam and tennis ball-rolled, then finally got out around noon.

Ran easy down to the pull-up bar, did ten, then ran to SEHS. There was a fast guy doing 200m "cruise intervals" (pretty fast 200s, stand around short rest, then repeat). I later confirmed it was Jordan McNamara. Damn, he has a fluid stride. So efficient! Good motivation for me - those visual examples always work well for my brain.

Felt pretty OK on the strides (hard straights, jogged the turns), then jogged back to work. Didn't wear the HRM, but kept it REAL easy but let it open a little on the last mile.

Stride is feeling good, but the muscles are still roughed up. REALLY NEED another massage, the foam roll just isn't getting it...

Spent a TON of time at work, writing my iRF column - til about 8 o'clock - then finally got home. Wound up staying up LATE, binge-watching "Prison Break", which was relaxing! :)

REALLY missing KacR a lot. Again, the withdrawal is so tough. You get used to that intimacy, and the companionship, then it's gone... Not sure when I'll see her again, but I'm starting to think of some other options...
