Corn Maze Loop

September 8, 2014 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Good day of work real productive. I was loosing steam at the end of the day though and needed a break. Perfect for a run. Felt too sore to hit up a tempo, so I just took it easy and went around, eventually settling on the Rail Trail and the Corn Maze. Added on a little bit down by the Boulders on the trail that hooks up to Hickory Ridge Golf Course. The hole that Cromer cut is still covered with barbed wire, so I couldnt get onto the golf course... It would have been awesome to run on today. First day its felt like fall out, and I love it. Still a little hot though you can feel summer lingering. Short mileage today but I needed to take it nice and easy. My IT bands were pretty tight today as well, and my upper body is still sore.

Essentials: Stretch, roll

Stretch and rolling when I got back. Oh man the rolling was painful, but so necessary. It felt good in a sadistic way. Probs gonna roll again later to loosen up the IT. Otherwise I felt ok today, not a whole lot of speed or energy on the run. It would have been a brutal tempo if I attempted that today. Sometimes it pays to take a nice and easy run.

My wanderings in the woods made this a little longer than 4 actually.
