Weather: Beautiful, slight breeze
Comments:
I ran the Meredith Alexander loop extended (Wisconsin, CCT, Mass, to Nebraska to school with Cohen, Colaizzi, King and Kravitz, these last two breaking off at the Chevy chase circle. On the CCT a 45-year old runner run up smoothly right next to us, saying, "I'm a senior. I never get to run with anyone, so do you guys mind if I . . ." Not at all. He went to Tulane and ran 4:06 for the 1500m! I felt great on the run. The shin hurt during the day, but did not bother me in the slightest on the run, though I did not ice it last night. I'm still worried, but will only freak out completely when it hurts during runs and/or after cross training if it's necessary. Ideally it will go away in a couple weeks. We did 1:30 planks and leg lifts before practice, followed by 2 sets of the pushup progression (54) and the crunch progression with 30 seconds for everything.
