Tempo Day. At least it was going to be until coach told us to race it. Wasn't huge on the idea, but I went along with it. We also did a new mental prep (inhale/exhale) thing, and I think this one worked pretty well for me.
Splits were something like ?, 11:30, 17:30, 23:30.
So got out pretty quick, pretty even middle, and picked up at the end. Which is generally what it felt like. Really good day though. That's definitely a PR for me. And it felt awesome. Really strong, relaxed, only tightened up a bit at the end because I was kicking it home. Also saw Wyatt. Didn't expect that. Did 4x Vanhorn strides at the end. I got a couple sets of the lift in, but tiredness from the run on top of my stomach feeling really queasy meant a lift was a bad idea. Feeling lightheaded with weights in hand didn't seem prudent. So, cut it short, and stretched.
