Whitney

October 4, 2014 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Today was a day for recovery, resetting and refreshing (Its Yom Kippur). Got to sleep in and rest most of the day. The storms that hit the midwest the past few days came rolling through New England. It was raining all day, pretty hard at times. It just felt like one of those soggy fall days, which often coincide with a cross meet. I really wanted to run though. Headed out up towards town at 4ish. It was kinda drizzling, but during the run it started to rain a lot harder. Went over to Whitney and ran straight up it. The hill was tough but my legs felt very fresh today. I just made it across the train tracks before a train came by. Good timing since I would have had to wait there for a while. As I was coming past Wildwood, decided that my shoes werent too wet, so I added on through Orchard Hill, down to Triangle St, and then back home through Amherst College. The rain was very refreshing today. Glad my shoes and orthotics held up since that usually slows me down when it is wet out. I didnt see to many other people out running today either...

Essentials: Stretch

Did a brief stretch when I got home since I was soaking wet and I didnt want to get everything else wet. Legs feel ok after. Calves are still twitching and feeling sore, but rest of legs felt great today.

Loop was a little less than 5.5
