Kent Pond Repeats

October 6, 2014 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: warm and muggy for the fall

Comments:
Had to run without the dogs today; they were sad. But I did take them out for a half hour walk so I don't feel too guilty for leaving them behind. My plan was to do this workout solo and use it to see how my fitness has maintained over the past few weeks of healthy milage without workouts. If I had a good workout, I'd consider racing in the Turkey Tea, a favorite event of mine, on Sunday. The desire for competition is back but I don't want to jump into something unless I have a chance to be at my best.

So here's what the workout looked like:

20' warm up
drills and strides
4 X Kent's Pond (1500m)/2'
5 X pull ups
15' cool down

This makes it pretty tempting to jump into that race! I felt fast and smooth. Relaxed and quick. This was ideal weather too so the times are realistic. There was so traffic so that explains some of why the times are erratic.

I will make my final decison on Thursday evening.
