October 4, 2014 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: cold, windy but sunny
Comments:
Slept IN today ('til past ten!!), then ate breakfast (PB, tea, some other stuff). I took a half an allergy pill, and generally felt OK going into this run.
KacR had two hours on the schedule, we went to a reservoir in NW Omaha, one of her favorite places. The weather was CHILLY - downright COLD in her house - and only gradually warmed until late afternoon.
...So-so run. Again, she just pushes a teeny bit harder than I'd like...ALL the time. The trail was OK - tight and winding, but better than Tranquility. The HR was just spikey as hell, and I don't know why!
The first hour? SUCKED. Tons of gut-rot, and I had to stop and deuce :45 in. This is classic allergy behavior, and interesting...in the 2nd hour, I felt a ton better and breathing was easier. So as I ran along, it hit my that, perhaps, I'm allergic to her DOGS. :-(
This makes sense, given how shitty I felt LAST Saturday, when I was at my mom's. Ugh. Not good.
Finally notched the 2-hr run, then headed back to KacR's. Went to a fun inner-city neighborhood sports bar for burgers, and to watch some football. Then back to her house to watch the HuskerZ game. FUN NIGHT.
PM: we took the make-out into slight advanced territory. Couldn't help myself when she was wearing the cutest little spandexy runner girl short shorts :) Going slow has been rough in some respects, but, MAN, it makes "little advances" REALLY EXCITING. :-) I love being patient with her - she's worth it, and it's been great for us both.
