RACE - 5k at UALR
18:20, exactly 1 min faster than the last 5k I ran. This was a good race, I will admit. I got out fast and held on instead of getting discouraged and fading, letting myself slow down. What I am most proud of is the fact that I successfully killed my negative thoughts during this race. Yes they still tried to surface but instead of letting them weigh me down I was able to shut them down and just focus on my race. Didn't even feel THAT tired at the end, definitely had a lot in me to pick up the pace in the last 800 and give a decent kick. Excited by this race but not satisfied - want to get in the 17s now. Just 20 seconds to drop!
