October 25, 2014 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Nice run in the afternoon. Unlike past saturdays, it was really nice out. Its Family Weekend at UMass and Amherst, so there were tons of people out around town. I opted to head down to the Rail Trail. Started out down the hill really fast. Legs just felt good. On Mill Rd I slowed down a little, and my ankle started to feel sore. Settled into a real chill pace on the path. Not a lot of people out there. I decided to mix it up and take a side trail right before the parking lot. It was confusing, as some of the trail was just running through someones field. It was still really beautiful. I paused a second to take in the scene. As soon as I turned around, I rolled my ankle in the grass though. It hurt, but kinda ran it off and kept going. It slowed me down on the way back. Felt a little better as I went along. Ankle is so fucked up that it doesnt hurt anymore, there is nothing to strain. Its all just damaged tendons and scar tissue. In some ways, its getting stronger... Muhahah. Anyways actually felt pretty good finishing up the hill.
Essentials: Stretch
Just a short stretch, working on ankle mobility as well. Legs feel good after finishing. Didnt really feel like running today. Thought it would be boring going alone. It was, but it was still nice to get out there on the trail.
