Adirondack Invitational

October 25, 2014 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: nice, cloudy, muddy

Comments:
I'm not sure why but I felt really relaxed before the race, I wasn't nervous at all like usual. We got there and immediately started warming-up and I felt good. My ankle and knee weren't bothering me at all. It was much nicer than it had been there in past years even though it was still really muddy. Nothing compared to last year. At the start of the race I got boxed in worse than I had been all year. It was pretty terrible, but it might have kept me from going out too fast so that's good I think. I came in at the 2 mile at 11:02 which right where I want to be pretty much. The whole race I was running with more or less the same people. Once again I lost some ground in placing at the end, there were so many people so close together. If I had finished 9 seconds faster, I would have come in 5th. Instead I got 13th. I no longer have any problems with Josh Farmer though, he traded shirts with me after the race cause mine was too small, he's a good man. Overall it was a great race, a new pr. The team came in 5th out of 19 too!
