Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Got out for a great run today after not running yesterday. Got to burn off that cake. Submitted my NSF Fellowship application so thats off the table now and into review. Kinda relieving, kinda stressful too because I cant control it anymore and just have to wait. Headed down to Groff and the Rail Trail, but ran into the Brickyard and kept exploring the trail. Ran all the way across it, over the train tracks. It pops out at Kiwanis Field. Thats two softball venues in one run! Ran out on Stanley to Belchertown Rd, then came back up to College St (which is awfully close to the other softball field. Thats a good route, run past all the softball fields...). Came back on the loop around Amherst College fields. Felt great out on the trail. It was quiet, the sun was setting, temperature was cool. Actually took the pace easier there to watch the roots. Put a lot of trust in myself to not hurt my ankle. Started to slow down a little and start to feel the distance on the way back, especially around the fields. Finished up strong downhill though. Awe man felt so so good to get out and get a run.
Essentials: Stretch, stick roller
Good stretch in the living room, then hitting the stick roller. My IT was a bit tight today, got to roll it out a little more. Legs feel worked, felt smooth overall today.
