November 5, 2014 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Warmer, almost shirtless
Comments:
Running recently I've been faced with a dilema. It is light out when I begin but dark when I return. I must decide to wear the reflective vest or not. I feel at the begining of the run I'd just look stupid wearing it but by the end I would not feel self consious in it. Currently I have been not wearing it and doing fine so far. May change it up soon.
Liverpool played the B team at Madrid on Tuesday. Actually from what I understand they were better than the A team only losing 1-0. Still no real chances for the Reds but still not a shaky defensive effort like they've been doing recently. Should be interesting when they play league leaders Chlsea at the weekend.
Another thing I thought about was the concept of resting uninjured players. This is a well known concept in Eurpoean soccer. Some games are less important or against a shitty team and so mamangers will rest their players to allow them to recover for more important games to come. I feel like this never happens in America. They two places I can think of in mainstream American sports where a coach did not play uninjured star players is when the team already has a playoff spot locked up, or Greg Popivich resting Spurs cuz their "old". Maybe the quality of postseason play would be helped if top teams rested star players during games. Just a musing.
