Sheldon AM track session

Weather: high 50s/mid 60s.

Comments:
Woke up at 0445 actually PUMPED to do a track session. The idea of hammering out some hard K's, then only working 4hr, THEN hitting up some Two Friends zza buffet made me really excited for the day!

It took about 10min to find my damn keys this AM, but I still got to the track just a shade after 0530. Felt good on the warm-up, on which I wore a skull cap and gloves. Nice to have sane weather return.

Today was K repeats. Thought about 6 but only did 4. I did them ROR-style but without a huge shift:

1:16, 35, 1:16 = 3:08
1:16, 37, 1:18 = 3:12
1:17, 37, 1:16 = 3:11
1:17, 37, 1:16 = 3:11

I was pretty pleased. The big focus was on FORM instead of effort. The breathing was well-controlled and my legs felt solid 'til the last one. The only annoying thing was my forearms were tense on every rep. I hate when I can't relax them, so I need to continue to work on that.

Ran the workout and cooldown in my new Nimbus. I don't have much confidence in the TRANditos to cushion, so I wore those without orthotics. A "bit" clunky, but OK. And RIGHT at the end of the run I noticed my L knee was "achy" -- like dead shoes...except my shoes aren't dead. Grrrr. We'll monitor this....

Cooldown, then some stretching and then breakfast at Residence Inn! Key.
