I gave myself several speeches before the run including such classics as, "This might feel horrible, but your training has to start sometime", and "You're a senior now, you know not to freak out when a run isn't going perfectly." It actually went fine and I negative splat, taking Glebe as far as Wakefield street and turning around--15:00, 14:09. I was relieved that the hills didn't ruin my form, but muscularly there is A LOT of work I have to do. 3x60 crunches, 3x20 pushups.

I came into last winter feeling extremely confident and great on every single run, but could not carry that into the spring. While I have high expectations for the 3200m, I want to see a MUCH greater improvement in the mile this time around. There were so many things I did wrong last spring, namely suffering from a little Sahilitis and not having fun. More importantly, now that I'm into college, I want to enjoy racing these last two seasons as much as I can.
