hike out from Maiden Ski Shelter via Gold Lake Rd

Weather: mid-30s nice again!

Comments:
No big activities today: just breakfast, pack up, and out. We were out before 9AM. Kelly left early, wanting to go back the way we came, via the PCT. But that was 6.5 miles over heavier snow. Callie and I went with Dan-O and Hammer, a good 2 miles shorter with very little snow: to the PCT, then down Maiden Peak trail to Gold Lake Rd.

My feet were sore from the 'shoe running, but otherwise it was a pleasant - much ligher - hike out. Took maybe 90 minutes before we were back on OR58 to Dan-o's truck.

We had KRW meet us in Oakridge, but since Dan-o and Hammer didn't want to wait, they left us at a bakery-coffee shop in town.

More one-on-one time. Fabulous.

Kelly showed up nearly an hour later, then we drove back to EUG. I dropped him off first, so at least Callie and I would have a proper goodbye, but she had another idea: an afternoon run....
