Comments:
I was out and about doing stuff, including some writing, when I got a text from Callie Alice that she was at Tap & Growler to "take care of some kombucha", which she brews for them (which, by the way, is fantastic).
I'm not sure why I thought this would happen - that we would see each other AGAIN - for the third time - after just seeing each other, but the tractor beam of chemistry is so compelling that it wasn't a surprise that she was there, and I was on my way.
She was in "my booth" when I arrived, and we sat together. We were looking at pictures from the weekend, so I sidled over to her side..and stayed there. We spent time looking for our next adventure - namely rentable fire lookouts - which then segway'd into telling stories and looking at old travel pics. Callie Alice has done a ton of traveling: a lot of it on her own, or with her sister(s). She makes me seem like a lightweight.
I thought a bit about having "The Talk" with her then, but it would've totally killed the buzz of an incredible weekend. She was right next to me - head occasionally on my shoulder - and I struggled between what's right and what feels right. But I know the time is coming.
GREAT night, yet again. Sure do like this woman.
