The "historic blizzard" brought in about 6in of snow. Very underwhelming with all the hype. Apparently other parts of New England got hit pretty hard though, with Boston and Worcester getting 2 ft. Amherst must have been right on the edge of the snow line. Either way everything was shut down and closed from the statewide State of Emergency. We spent the morning shoveling, all of us working together. It wasnt that bad actually. In the afternoon, we went sledding down at Amherst College using makeshift sleds made out of cardboard and garbage bags. I also brought a shelf from a plastic dresser, nicknamed "White Lighting". It worked so well. Had a lot of fun out there, there were a few other people sledding as well. I even got to try snowboarding, which is a lot of fun. I was pretty good, didnt fall down at all. Ankle felt terrible today. Sore and tender after walking up and down the hill. I did some stretches when I got home. Wasnt going to run anyways until everyone dug out of the snow. Overall an awesome snow day, especially compared to the ones last year at Sugarloaf which were soooo boring. Weird that we worked yesterday and couldnt do any experiments today... Want to get back at it. Mileage this week will be way way down due to snow and my ankle. Perhaps a perfect opportunity to revive it in the CLE :)
