Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 25, freezing rain, slush, snow
Comments:
Stats decided the break was over . . .
I first considered running on the treadmill, but finding the gym closed and not wanting to bother my neighbors, I would brave the snow and think of it as practice for next year. I did the Lee, Yorktown and Glebe loop, which has a notable number of hills at a steady pace. Some sections I ran faster than others because of better footing, but a few times, I had to slog through some powder. I felt great during the last 20 minutes and rather than losing my cool about the poor footing, I reminded myself that I was in control of the run, not the weather. I'll take tomorrow off if necessary, but I have no doubt I'm ready for the season now. 1:45 planks, 20 clams, 20 plank leg lifts.
