Exercise Type: Elliptical
Weather: Fake running
Comments:
After reading that Elliptical "running" can be used effectively to maintain fitness while rehabbing an injury, I gave it a try. Swung arms like running, maintained about 85rpm or footfalls/minute and kept HR in the low 130's for 30 mins. Increased intensity for 15 minutes, HR to 144. Felt good, this can work while getting ITB calmed down and mileage back up. Got new Mizuna Evolution MC shoes today, will give it go tomorrow for 4-5 miles. ORthotics should be here by Tuesday. Did hip exercises and lots of stretching. It doesn't hurt, just a little tight. I just don't want to push it to the point of pain. Can maintain fitness for a week or more if needed while getting it in line.
