Probably nothing wrong with my foot

The doctor advised 10-14 days without exercise because any stretching of the skin will open the stitches! So I went ahead and got on the bike, this time in the fancy spinning room at Washington Golf, where the sleek, silver bikes gleam, but have remarkably uncomfortable seats. I had the resistance at "Gear 10" for the first half hour then switched between gears 11, 12 and 13 for the second. I checked the stitches and found nothing awry.
