April 2, 2015 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: high 50s, sunny, dry, pollen-y?
Comments:
Slept in a bit, then got out for a quality session. Thought about a trail tempo, but didn't have time.
Ran to Amazon and did 3-mi at <170 HR. I don't have the exact HR data (for sure averaged under 170, but not by much), but the pace was...FUCKING TERRIBLE: 19:34 for 3 miles!!! That's like 6:31 pace! YEESH.
The stride felt impeccible, though: whole foot, no swivz, tall+arched, strong hips. But goddamn, the combo of injury, "forgetting how to run" and pollen (high HR) kept this outrageously slow. That said...last friday was not a fluke, then.
I kept going back to a yoga mantra: "Reserve Judgment". Don't judge negatively, just do what you can. Be Present. So...yeah, oh well!
PM: CA brought me to EUG to fly back home for Easter. Jeff emailed me pissed off that the unemployment dept contacted him. I called him and he was all pissy 'til I explained to him what was going on. Nonetheless....that left me really annoyed and stressed out the rest of the afternoon.
This unemployment is more stressful that most realize. It's just HARD not having a routine, and all sorts of crazy shit going on...
PM: got into MSP around 8:30. Mom picked me up and we had a good chat, then got Steve's Pizza when we got home. :-)
Wore the N1s with green superfeet on run.
