Weather: Wet/Drizzly, Piedmont Track, 50 degrees
Comments:
Helped Madeline on her workout. She had 4x2000 @ her 10k pace which was 85 per 400, or 7:05 total. After the first 2k, I decided to just run the first four laps of each. It was interesting shaking the rust off, by being on a track so long. She had 2 minutes of rest in-between, so after the first non 2k, I had closer to 3:30 rest in between. Probably about a mile of junk jog mileage in there.
My leg wasn't really much of an issue, but I definitely didn't feel sharp. Probably needed to warmup better and actually get some good stretching in, but all things considered, this was a very, very good day, and was a great way for me to get some threshold pace work in. This pace was probably faster than my threshold pace, but that's neither here nor there lol.
