Brickyard to charging Fort Hill

April 21, 2015 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Later run today. Headed out down the hill to Groff. Started out fast. Weather was cool but comfortable. IDK why I started out so fast but legs just felt good still. Ran along Mill and caught up with the Rail Trail. It seemed like the paving was starting up again, so I just decided to hop onto the trails and go along the Harvey Allen Trail. Last time I tried to go out there it was still all snow and impassable. Today it was mostly mud and puddles. Didn't phase me, kept pushing along and went all the way through to Kiwanas. I realized that there are so many more trails that go into the neighborhoods on the way to Belchertown. They were wet today but that adds on a lot. I was feeling strong at Kiwanas and went down Stanley back home. I was getting pretty hungry especially since I started a little later. Ran right up the road at Fort Hill and took the trail to the end. Came back along the bike path. Really picked up the pace on the bike path. No real reason, just felt really really strong and fast. Finished up with that pace all the way home mostly. Good run it was nice to go somewhere I havnt really been in a while and the make a new route. Felt real strong today. Were a fair amount of people out on walks and runs too which is always nice to see.

Essentials: Stretch

Just a stretch outside. Standard and necessary. I was really muddy and hungry when I got back so I cleaned up and ate first, only to find that running-log was down. Feeling kinda incomplete hope it comes back up soon. Good run today, looking forward to the race. The competition in previous years is way slower than the Dash and Dine 5k. It would be awesome to PR but mostly I want to run a strong successful race.
