Recovery Run

Inner thighs sore; hamstrings tight.

Medium-distance runs these past two weeks have been difficult. I am confident that I can stick with Adam and Jonas for the first half but I am held back by the idea that I probably will not be able to finish with them. Today was an easy 5-7 recovery day and I planned on going 6. Adam encouraged me to go the full 7 and although I was a little apprehensive, I went for it. The first 3 miles were tough... but that's it! It got easier and I actually felt more comfortable as the run progressed! I think it's safe to say that as important as it is to rebuild that mileage base and get the legs moving, it is absolutely vital to push through the mental barriers and then, be able to rise back up. And yes, we did finish together :)
