Comments:
First game of the season! I thought it went well. Its naturally a little more stressful to coach. We had a great first opponent, a remade Chem E team. They were right at our level. Almost everyone showed up so there were a lot of roster switches and trouble getting the correct line up. We had a few innings where they batted around, but others where we went 3 and out. I think overall we played awesome, got some great plays in the field and huge hits. 3 HRs! thats more than we hit all of last year. I got a hit and a HR (on an overthrow should have kept it as a triple) and pitching was really good too. We were rallying but had to call the game due to darkness, even though it was kinda drizzling on and off. Those long innings dragged the time out. I know everyone was kinda bummed but I think we can do much better and actually win a few games. We have some pretty competitive players this year... Also I cant remember if we even scored 11 runs in a game last year. I wish we get to play these guys again. It was a really fun game and I hope everyone had a good time. I, like Mike, really tried to get everyone to play.
