Exercise Type: Run
Weather: dry but not too hot
Comments:
Today was a scheduled run with Jeff, but I needed to do a tempo, so we did the VRC paved loop: easy for a mile, then a "grinder half" (13x-15x), then a mile, slightly easy across the bridge, then another mile at 16x.
Felt good today. Made sure the back was stretched out, then did some foot and leg work (working on the foot pushing straight back) and I think that helped. Big focus on:
- tall & forward
- whole foot with "Nick Symmonds Knees"
- pulling the leg through
- level pelvis (reaching L, opening R)
Splits were SOLID with a low HR!

After I finished, I doubled back and gradually ramped down 'til Jeff came, then I finished with him. Easy the rest of the way back, together.
