Today was a weird day. I was something of an orphan at work with most of my supervisors gone and and little more than the general instruction to read literature related to my project. We also arrived to the news that there was apparently a terrorist attack on a chemical plant in France (though with fortunately few casualties). No outside of the office paid much attention though because later in the day came the bombshell everyone knows about. All things considered I kept a level head not only through the work day but also beyond. I was worried some about the run but it was fine. Denial is, as they say, not only a river in Egypt but also the first stage of grief.
