Shitty treadmill EPT workout

Weird, crappy day. I had to work extra on the account of jury duty tomorrow. Thought I had to work at 8, and at 7:35, I got a call saying I had a patient waiting. UGH. This has happened about twice, career. SUCKS. No one told me! Turns out, Jeff had made the appt (for one of his patients, as a fill-in) and told no one. And I got no warning.

So, as an act of contrition, I offered up my lunch hour to see this person, so I had only 30min for lunch. Annoying. Did coaching stuff at lunch. Worked solid 8-1:30, then 2-6.

I was still quite tired from the weekend, but I figured I'd try a treadmill tempo. Jogged easy for a mile, then cranked it up.

On the Tensegrity treadmill, it was EASY to run fast...like, TOO easy. So I guess it shouldn't surprise me that when I got it up that fast, it was hard as FUCK, like, unsustainable! So I brought it back down to 10mph and held it, all the while watching "Fire on the Track" on Youtube on the computer. But I still felt like shit, so after a mile, I slowed it down to 9.3, then gradually increased it back to 10. Wound up splitting 5:58 and 6:13 or so. I then pulled the plug and jogged a mile.

Was nice to watch my trunk in the big mirror and control the swivz.

Somewhere along the line: I figured out that the best way to control the swivs is in the arm swing. And it's NOT a straight forward-and-back swing, but a slight ("in to out") outward swing. So I worked on this and it was WAY easier to control swivz. ...But still hard.

PM: eat and rest, trying to catch up on sleep. CA slept over...and probably wil be for a while, as it's hot as fuck all week!
