I drove to the entrance to Glover at 8 and parked on 41st then took the trail to a little past Reservoir before turning around. I felt great and at the beginning even considered doing my ladder workout--but today was supposed to be a "no pressure run," so I stuck with that and enjoyed the sentimental value of the trail, thinking about teammates and runs that already seem they happened such a long time ago. Just the smell of the trees reminded me of cross country camp. Drills, four long strides (two barefoot), 1:30 planks, 25 clams, jumping jack-push-up progression (40, 7), first four of crunch progression, 40 push-ups. I have to have a down week this week and frankly that feels like a huge step backwards. The mileage targets have been 25, 25, 30, 40, 45 and now 35. While I know I have to be patient, sometimes I feel like I've made no progress since the end of high school.
