AM 3x Baldy with CA

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 60, perfect - a little breezy, actually

Comments:
No yoga: early AM Baldy session with CA. As it turns out, this is PERFECT work for the US Mtn Champs in Bend: that course is up the ski hill, then down. Two 4K loops with 800' gain (1.25mi up). Baldy is 0.8mi up +700', then 0.9 down.

Easy jog from a mile out, then got after it. Once again, CA led and I nestled in behind. The first one I hung back the whole time. It felt EASY but our split was solid in 10:49. I pushed the downhill to get us under 8min (7:59).

The next two, I pushed past to lead the second half faster. And they were FASTER. Stats:

10:47 (142 AHR!!!), ~7:59 (124)
10:09 (158), 7:40 (137)
10:05 (166), 7:59 (128)

Big focus again on:

- Tall & forward
- high knees + hips
- PELVIC OPENING (on moderate grades)

The pelvic opening is such a game-changer: big power AND better breathing!!!

Easy one mile cooldown.

CA was right on my ass the whole time. Heavy breathing but she did great! She's WAY more fit that she realized, which is putting her in good spirits.
