This was probably not supposed to be this hard, but I felt really good and just wanted to go. I negative split by 48 seconds and ran a 5:32 last mile. Unlike the last few tempos, this was an example of how to run well instead of how to fail. The last time I even broke 30 in a tempo was February 11th and I was really questioning my conditioning and if I was getting a lot worse, but this opened things up some. I ran about three minutes faster than last week. I did the 800s in a respectable fashion as well. However, the bottom line was that both Mike Grese and I ran 5 mile PRs-including races! This was a very good day.
