Real good day today. Started out feeling really crummy and sore, but after a couple miles things improved a lot. Felt alive, awake, alert, and enthusiastic. Which was cool. Really picked it up after Harrison turned off, and felt like I was flying.

There was a certain point where I realized that the day was just like every practice I had for my travel soccer team in middle school. Late afternoon, near the end of summer. The temperature's up there, but not too much, since there's a nice cross-breeze. The sun's getting lower, and the shadows are getting longer. There's a fresh smell, maybe it's the grass? We're getting ready for practice, kicking the ball around, trying not to run into the columns of gnats. I'm trying not to think about the math homework that's due tomorrow, but once I lose myself in the game, it doesn't matter. Even if I can't juggle. Eventually Coach shows up, but that doesn't mean we're starting. He'll give us a 20 minute long speech, and then we'll go warm up. Even though that's what we've been doing.

Ok. I'm done trying to be a fancy writer. I'm definitely going to find this again in a few years and cringe. Back to your regularly scheduled, "mildly amusing", running logs.
